CSALT Architecture is delighted to share our work introducing digital design, fabrication and assembly concepts into processes of building and construction using ABB small-scale industrial robots and #compas_rrc. A great video posted on the ABB LinkedIn site describes the digital ecosystems and processes we are working with in the lab. Many thanks to the team at ABB and in particular Philippe Fleischmann from the NCCR Digital Fabrication at ETH Zürich for their mentorship, support and guidance as we integrate these robotic tools into architectural design thinking. The AEC sector in Canada is beginning a digital construction transformation and we are happy to contribute highly qualified personnel to the workforce in this domain with these powerful tools and the imagination of our student body in Architecture in the Faculty of Engineering & Design at Carleton University.
